Awana New England

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” KJV

Awana is a Bible-based, Christ-centered youth program committed to ministering to children. Our weekly clubs promote an atmosphere filled with fun and excitement. Awana forges a partnership between our headquarters staff and local churches around the world. We provide the necessary materials and training; all that's needed are churches ready to get involved.

There are presently 130 churches in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island area that are using the Awana program. Although many of these clubs meet on a Wednesday or Friday night, a church can use the program on any night of the week. The club meeting usually lasts between an hour and a half to two hours and consists of three distinct parts; Large Group Time, Handbook Time, and Game Time.

The Awana program is divided into various clubs. Puggles is the Awana Club for toddlers.  Cubbies is the Awana club for preschoolers. Sparks is the Awana club for kids in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Truth & Training is Awana's third through sixth grade program. There are also youth ministries, Trek 24-7 for junior-high and Journey 24-7 for high school.

The hope of Awana is that all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Our vision is to be a strategic partner with churches and ministries in a global effort to ensure the opportunity for all children and youth to be evangelized and discipled in Christ. Our mission is to work with our ministry partners in creating and disseminating integral programs, tools, and training that equip leaders to evangelize and disciple children and youth for Christ.

If you would like to know more about the Awana program please contact Ken & Karen Hoffmeyer, the Awana Missionaries for this area, at KenH@awana.org or (413) 529-0703 by phone.
